Chipping Tawton - Prophetic Spring

There is not a place in Devon anymore called "Chipping Tawton". Chipping, or 'Cheping' refers to the word 'Market' hence Market Tawton or, in this case, the market town of North Tawton. I believe this quote refers to the well at the Roman settlement that was at De Bathe Cross.
